The Chelyabinsk watch factory\"Molnija\" began production on November 17, 1947 on the basis of theorder of Council of ministers of the USSR. At first the Ministry of Defence ofthe USSR was the main customer of watches. A wrist, pocket, bracket clock wasissued.

Also production of specialaviation clocks AChS-1M, the clock installed in tanks, submarines andspaceships was arranged.

The main product of factory —a pocket watch with a firm engraving (military, historical, natural etc.).About 80% of works on assembly and registration of a pocket watch becomemanually.

In October, 2007 the Molnijafactory stopped production.
