I am selling a large collection of World’s Fair and Exposition so please watch my sales every week. This sale is for a very unusual top bar bin from an 1893 Columbian Exposition badge. The dimensions are 1 ⅛” x 2” and the decoration includes an eagle w. Snake and a banner with text PROGRESS AMERICA 1492 1892 WORLD’S COLUMBIAN FAIR CHICAGO ILLINOIS 1893 in Chicago. There are also compass directions N S E W and an 1891 patent date. The banner is woven around 3 large letters UCA (and the snake in the eagle’s mouth looks a bit like an “S”) which may stand for an organization.
