Unusual 19th C. Chinese Dao Sword With Gold Inlaid Layered Steel Blade For Sale
Very nice Chinese Dao from around late 1800s to early 1900s era, having a sturdy powerful blade of layered or pattern-weld damascus steel with both sides of ricasso heavily inlaid with a gold dragon of absolutely lovely quality and an unusual flamboyant tip. Iron mounts to the hilt and sting ray skin over wood scabbard, all iron showing oxidation and heavy patina, also patina to the blade, overall solid and intact, ready for another Boxer Rebellion @! overall 36" blade 28 1/2".
