This is a superb triple-cased Venetian glass vessel, probably by the Mandruzzato workshop, and made circa 1970-80 using the Sommerso techniquedeveloped on the island of Murano.
In a facetted, triangular shape, it has an inner core of cranberry coloured glass, surrounded by a layer of yellow, and encased in a body of clear. Please see similar pieces identified as Mandruzzato here (halfway down the page):
In an unusual shape very attractive colours, this piece is excellent for display, or even everyday use as a fabulous ornament/ashtray.
Measures 3.5" (9cm)wide, and 3” (8ms) high.
Very good; there are approx 10 tiny fleabites and nibbles scattered around and a very small chip to the underside. It is a lovely piece that displays beautifully.

I have collected glass and ceramics, antiques and antiquities for many years, and my shop philosophy is to sell very good antiques at very low prices very quickly so I do not need to carry much stock; larger shops will charge much more, but take much longer than I do to make a sale. Each to their own, then - but that makes my prices ultra-low compared to a bricks-and-mortar antiques shop.
I try to describe everything I sell as honestly as possible, including any damage, issues, or attributions to a maker, in my descriptions. If you have any questions, a problem with a piece you’ve bought, or even further info on a piece I’m selling (always welcome!) please mail me. Please don’t ever leave negative or neutral response without speaking to me – we can always come to a solution.
