Vintage, finely crafted Turkish Islamic Kard dagger in sheath - circa mid 20th century
The hand-forged blade shows a wonderful damascened texture surface with elaborate designs - base of blade has a silver overlay in scroll designs
The handle material is blood-stone agate in deep green color with blood-red spotting - very attractive material used in Ottoman Turkey for centuries to create prestigious objects of art.
The Kard has a blue cloth sheath with some gold thread
