This sale is forverynice pair of antique Crescent Art Novelties (NJ) deer/fawn figures.Thisdelightful pair were purchased from an estate here in Maryland.These deeror fawn were made by the Crescent Art Novelties Company of Irvington New Jersey. They are a playful pair, made of patinated bronze over spelter/pot/white metal, mounted onwhat looks to be green alabaster bases/plinths, (see pics). They have aged nicely with a warm patina. They made have been made as garniture accents. They measure approx. 5 3/4\" tall, with a base dimension of 2\" x 5\". Greatfor anarrow mantel!They are signed on the bottom: Crescent Art Novelties JrvingtonNJ, (Irvington N.J, see pics).Most of the signature is obscured and with the obvioustype errorwith the J confusing the I in Irvington.They are in very good condition, with only some slightfinish wear, and a small blemish to the corner of one of the bases, (not chipped away).
