US Army Combat Boots--Size 8R--1966 Date
Original pair of standard issue GI combat boots nicknamed the \"McNamara Boots\" after the Secretary of Defense at the time of adoption, black leather construction with sewnsoles and heels [BILTRITE brand] and correct flat woven black laces. Size 8 R, mfg by ADDISONSHOE CORPORATION and dated 18 May 1966. Boots appear to have been tried on once and then never worn again. No damage to leather, soles or laces. Although standard issue for all US Army personnel, they were used as combat footwear in Vietnam until sufficient stocks of jungle boots were on hand. Nice boots for any Vietnam collection and in excellent condition. Any questions please feel free to ask.
