Very interesting WW-1 era combination: scarce Philippine-American period M1892 Krag rifle bayonet in mint condition in a rare M1912 US cavalry leather picket pin scabbard that was typically came with the \"Patton Cavalry Sword\" (the last official saber for horse-mounted US cavalry). The scabbard is top-quality and appears to be unused; the stitching is intact; there is some green oxidation around bronze parts consistent with age. This picket pin scabbard is in excellent condition for the type with all original belts and brass furniture present, very rare this nice.

The bayonet is 16-3/8\" / 41.5 cm long overall with 11-3/4\" / 29.8 cm fullered bright-finish blade. Original razor-sharp age; the tip is intact. Original walnut handle scales; bayonet release button is 100% functional and easy to operate. Ricasso is stamped 1900 on one side and US on the other. Krag bayonets are very rare in such wonderful condition; don\'t miss your chance to add this scarce set to your collection!
