Vintage piece to commemorate one of the toughest battles of WWII. Image is of UnitedStates Marine Corps raising the Flag at Iwo Jima. This was a well recognized historicphotograph taken in February of 1945. Image is of 5 Marines and a Navy corpsmanraising the American Flag on top of Mount Suribachi.HAS ORIGINAL METAL Flag AND BLUE AND WHITE \"JAPAN\" sticker underneath.Piece was made 1940\'s. Its a little dusty.......Measures: 3 3/4\" tall and 4\" long across the base end to end.
(Note) As this was my dad\'s for as long as I can remember was going to throw it awaybecause I could not find the Flag. I\'m saying over 40 years of do I keep or ditch. Wellcleaning mom\'s sewing basket, I said NO WAY---there it is Flag all wrapped up.
