V FINE ANTIQUE 19TH C INDIAN SOLID SILVER BOWL HAND WORKED ROSE BOWL KUTCH. 231g
I will be selling a very large number of interesting antiques including Tribal art, Chinese, Japanese, and European antiques. I will possibly be selling over two days so please check again on FRIDAY as there may be more pieces for sale. PLEASE NOTE: This sale is in GB Pounds Sterling.
This is a very fine antique 19th Century Indian solid silver bowl (acid tests to a decent quality, certainly 800+). It is Kutch, Gujarat in origin and is beautifully hand worked all the way around the exterior and to the base with a rural scene of houses, trees , a river etc. and a wonderful wavy rim which seems uneven at first glance but when you look carefully four of the waves are actually deliberately made very slightly larger than the others which is a nice touch. It is a good weight for its size and would date to the late 19th Century c.1880 and is certainly a fine piece for the collector of Indian antiques or Indian silver alike.
Please read down the entire listing for Dimensions, Condition, Postage & Payment Details - most of the information you will need is here on this page but please get in touch if you don't find what you are looking for. Condition & Dimensions Excellent condition. Test scratch to interior of base but no other damage.
It stands about 3.8" / 9.6cms tall and has a diameter of about 5.7" / 14.3cms across the rim. It weighs approximately 231g.

Postage & Packing For your peace of mind and mine items will be sent fully insured. I will be posting from WEDNESDAY 29TH MAY so please make payment as early as possible. PLEASE be a little patient with the post - I will get them posted asap but I work on my own, often have a fair amount to post and I do pack carefully. I also post in the order that things are paid for.
Any delays by the postal services either at my end or abroad are rarely my fault. I always post out at the latest 3 working days after receiving cleared payment but sometimes an item is slowed up by a backlog of post or delayed whilst being processed through customs. To give you an idea it generally takes about 3-7 working days within Europe and 9 - 14 working days to the U.S. / rest of the world. If speed is of the essence then I can use a courier (DHL / FEDEX etc.) but prices for couriers start at around £30 / £40GBP for the very smallest object and VERY quickly escalate depending on size, weight and destination. Please note also that there has been a considerable hike in postage prices by the Royal Mail this year. I add on very little, often not enough to cover the packaging materials, so the price I quote really is as fair as possible.
UK: 1st Class Recorded Delivery (insured to £50 only): £7.75 GBP.

This is a signed for service which offers full or limited tracking (depending on your country) and insurance. Please do not ask me to falsify customs documents, thank you.***Any import duties or taxes applicable are payable by the Buyer.
