Description: (LARGE PICTURES BELOW)
A CHRISTOPHER DRESSER DESIGNED CERAMIC CAKE PLATE GLAZED INCOLOUREDMAJOLICA WITH STYLIZED DRESSER MOTIFS AND ORNAMENTAL AND MINIMALISTIC PATTERNS.
AS FAR AS THE RESEARCH TELL US THERE ARE NO OTHER EXAMPLES IN ANY OTHER MUSEUMS
THIS WASACQUIREDPRIVATELY OVER 30 YEARS AGO BYA FAMILY MEMBER.
Please have a very good look at the picture below as they tell you what a wonderfully piece this is. Just SO Dresser!
Most famous Dresser ceramic works were made by Linthorpe but they were usually marked. There is only an unidentifiedsymbol to denote a factory or maker on the rear and a pattern number of 13. There are a number of companies that could have produced this piece - Mintons, George Jones, Burmantofts, Ault but we dont know for sure.
The kiln firing marks (where the plate has lost glaze because it was attached to the 3 legged support) are evident on the base where the arrows point - this is NOT damage but was made during creation process.
The hole in the middle is original to the piece, made as part of the finnished itemand NOT a later addition. There are family members of ours that remember the original trianglular form handle but allas with time it has been lost.
Condition: I would have to say - very good! Item does have use and age related wear marks but overall in seemingly good condition. there are some tiny losses to glaze around the edge and some small amount of dusty deposits in thestamped pattern areas but NO chips or cracks and indeed the plate rings with a light tap.
(PLEASE ALSO USE PICS BELOW AS A CONDITION GUIDE)
Size: approx 23 cms diameter.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION / response
- I hope you are very happy with your purchase.
- I work hard to satisfy every customer that has bought an item from me so you feel comfortable leaving positive response and nothing less than an overall Detailed Seller Rating (DSR) of 5.
- For whatever reason, if you are considering giving a low DSR, please do write to me and give me an opportunity to address your concerns first. You may think that you are leaving a reasonable rating by giving a seller DSR's of 4****'s, but 's response system treats anything less than a 5*****'s as sub-standard and penalizes sellers for DSR ratings that average under 5.00, which means it count's against me on my response score.
After you have received the item and have left response, i will know you are happy with the item and i will leave positive response to you.
