V RARE WWI THE ACME THUNDERER TANKWHISTLE MODEL # 442 BY J HUDSON & CO MARK V.
Relisted with additional information from Whistle Museum.
"The British Mark V tank was an upgradedversion of the Mark IV tank, deployed in 1918 and used in the closing months of WW1.
The Acme Thunderer Tank whistle, made after this tank, is one of the most famous whistles, made just after WW1. Today, actually eleven Mark V tanks survive. The majorityare in Russia or Ukraine. There are probably less whistles left."
As you can see in the photos it has a bit of wear and a tiny nick to one end which I have tried to show in the last photo.
Complete with corkpea and fully working.
Measures approx 60mm in length.
