An Extremely Rare and desirable early 19th Century Cameo Mourning Brooch depicting Admiral Nelson.
Fine White Ceramic/Glass Cameo side profile Miniature of Nelson with a Black background signifyingmourning and housed in its original 9ct Gold (unmarked) mount with convex glass and working hinged pin.
Fine condition for age with small chip to base as can be seen in the photos which does not detract. Comes complete in the Case/Box shown in the photographs.
Most probably made soon after Nelson\'s death to mourn his passing and great loss to the nation.
I have only seen one other example, which belonged to Lady Hamilton.
