ROBERT HENNELL 1780 STERLING SILVER ENGLISH MUSTARD POT

Description:
English sterling silver mustard pot, made in 1780 by Robert Hennell (active during the last third of the 18th century), with a pierced decoration of the most pure neoclassic style. The lid shows a heraldic decoration with the incised inscription of “Vie la verite”, which can perhaps be linked to Ralph Creyke, Esquire of Rawcliffe Hall. Charming and collectable.

Pot: 5.8cm (height) x 6.4cm (width) x cm (length, including the handle)
Spoon: 10cm (length) x 2cm (width) x 0.5cm (height)
Weight (just the silver): 137gr
Weight (total): 236gr

Condition:
Excellent condition, with no damages or restorations and only normal signs of use on the pot. The spoon and the glass are replacements. The blue glass is broken and restored, and the spoon, also in English sterling silver, was made in 1806. Please, see the attached pictures for a full illustration of their condition.
