VERY FINE ANTIQUE PUEBLO POTTERY CANTEEN - LOVELY PAINTING FRONT AND BACK:

We are not experts, but we think this lovely piece of pottery is an antique Pueblo Indian canteen, perhaps Zia. It is about 8 1/4 inches long. The reverse has a level area so the canteen can sit securely on a surface. The quality of the painting is very fine. There seems to be some use-related abrasion in both handles, but more so on the right handle. It was found in an old estate in northwestern Massachusetts.
