Up for sale with is one of the finest mid Victorian English Tea or Coffee Pots that I have sold in a very long time. The Pot is a Top quality period example by some of the finest period silversmiths, John, Edward, Walter & John Barnard (this Barnard & Sons Ltd mark was used 1863-75) and is fully Hallmarked as such with Hallmarks for London, Sterling Silver and the Year 1872 as well. The Handle, Lid and Finial also all show matching Hallmarks as well. The Pot features superb Bright Cut decorations throughout as well as as finely detailed cast Pineapple finial and a great Period Family Armorial or Crest. The Pot shows all the details of a top quality period example with Carved Cow Bone insulators to the handle and a very fine inset top hinge. The Pot is in excellent all original condition throughout with no no large dings, dents, cracks or holes whatsoever, even the handle is perfectly tight with no movement at all, ready to be used or displayed with pride. The Pot is a great size for display and you could use it for serving Tea, Coffee or Cocoa, measuring 8-1/4" tall by 8" long or 4-1/2" across the base, holding approx 4-1/2 cups. The Pot is also nice thick gauge Sterling Silver throughout with a quality weight of 668 grams. I am sure the new owner will be most pleased when they see this beauty in real life and I doubt many examples like this come up for sale, especially with !

We make great effort to accurately describe each item listed. Returns are accepted, if either condition, country of origin or dating we stateis significantly incorrect. In such cases we refund your shipping costs as well. Like you, we are only human, and make mistakes. Hopefully, not too many. But remember, the items you see are antiques. Hence, have an expected amount of wear from normal use. As such, returning an item because we failed to mention the tiniest bit of wear, or barely discernible flaw is not acceptable. Nor do we accept returns based on buyer's remorse, change of taste, or because a buyer did not realize how "small" four inches might be once in hand. Any Item or Lot Sold "AsIs" is not elligible for Return or Partial Refund, no exceptions. Also all returns must beposted within14 days of delivery confirmation.
