VERY FINE PAIR OF ANTIQUE VICTORIAN / EDWARDIAN BRUSSELS DUCHESSE LACE CUFFS
Description:
A very delicate pair of antique Victorian / Edwardian lace cuffs. They are made from a Brussels Ducchesse lace, and have a floral motif with three medallions surrounded in small flowers, and filled with the tiniest of decoration formed of extremely tiny buttonhole stitched elements. The larger flowers are trimmed in leaves, and much of the motifs are connected with small bridges/brides accented in tiny picots. The flowers are filled with primarily the linen stitch, and accented in a half stitch or mesh like stitches. All the motifs are outlined and accented in raised ribs of gimp thread. These are a spectacular example of beautiful Duchesse lace.
Measurements:
10 1/2" long at the inside edge; 13" along the outside edge5 1/4" wide at the widest spot in the middle4" wide at the ends
Condition:
Very good to excellent condition. There doesn't appear to be any tears, holes or stains. They are being sold as is, without being washed or pressed.

Domestically (inside US), I usually ship USPS Priority Mail, unless otherwise requested, or noted. I will sometimes ship first class for lower-priced items that require only an envelope or such.Delivery Confirmation is included.USPS Insurance costs are not included.
International buyers, I will ship USPS First Class International in most cases, depending on weight. Anything weighing over 4lbs when packed, or valued at more than $400 cannot be shipped First Class, and requires me to send it Priority Mail at a higher rate. I try to keep shipping costs low, so my shipping costs do NOT include extra services: Tracking/Registered Service, nor USPS Insurance Service. If you want to track the package, it is an extra $12.95 for that service. Please request it if you want this prior to paying, and I will send you a new invoice. Insurance costs depend solely on the final value of the item, approx. $1.50-$2.00 for each $100. Please figure your shipping costs prior to offerding, and if you have a problem doing so with 's program, e-mail for approximate shipping rates, since they vary depending on where you are located.
For those of you in Brazil, Spain, Russia & China- we're having problems with mail in your country - it's taking longer than expected, and often times the package gets stuck in customs or customs does not repack the item properly and the item is lost. Know that if you live in one of these countries - I WILL SHIP ONLY PRIORITY WITH TRACKING AND INSURANCE IF THE ITEM IS VALUED OVER $100 - AT YOUR COST. Expect the higher rate.
