Up for sale with is a very fine Victorian Period Sterling Silver Calling Card Case. The Case is on the finest I have sold in a very long time with an amazingly detailed Repousse Castle Scene with great Trees and other period designs and then on the back Flowers and Scrolls throughout. The Case also features a nice chain, perfect for hanging it for display or for carrying. The Vase is a top quality example, I am sure by a very fine period Maker, though I can not see a maker's mark, possibly having worn away. The Case has been tested by a Jeweler and is guaranteed to be Sterling Silver throughout. The Case is in very fine all original condition with a couple of the corners showing minor dents, but nothing serious and it displays beautifully as seen in our many photos. The Case is a nice example for carrying debit and credit cards or business cards, measuring 3-1/2" long by 2-1/2" wide and 1/4 of an inch thick weighing 50 grams. Castle Top Calling Card Cases are amongst the most desirable and most rare examples and this is a true beauty, I am sure the new owner will love it as much as I do and I doubt you will find many as nice up for sale with !
