This sale is for a very unusual Chinese porcelain charger plate that dates to the Kangxi Period. The plate is hand painted in the center in the Famille Verte palette with a delicate design of flowers and birds. The rim of the plate has a very unusual light underglaze blue design of dragons, birds, and flowers. It is very unusual to find a design of this type. The charger plate measures about 12.5 inches (31.75cm) across. There are no chips visible from the front of the plate but there are some flakes on the back of the rim. Also there is one faint hairline that extends from the rim. Just a wonderful and unusual piece of Chinese porcelain dating to the Kangxi period.
