Very Nice French Napoleonic General Officer Sword For Sale

Absolutely Beautiful! This is an outstanding example of a Napoleonic Deluxe General Officer's Sword Saber which has survived in wonderful, original condition. It is mounted with an impressive curved blade that measures 32 3/4 inches in length by 1 3/78 inches wide at the ricasso. The blade remains in superb original condition with the gorgeous bright blue and gold still present on either side and with only some minor surface blemishes. The exquisite, intricately detailed guard features high relief motifs and is crowned with a wonderful lion's head pommel, all continuing to wear 90% of the original bright gold wash. The beautiful checkered carved wooden hilt also remains very healthy with only minor chipage near the ferrule. The lovely brass scabbard wears fabulous engravings along the front side and remains very nice in its condition as well with traces of the gold wash also still present. Overall measuring 41 inches in length. (please note other items shown as props are not included in this sale)
