This is a superb example of a German Bayonet, Model 1884/98 Sawback. It is mounted with a beautiful blade that measures 9 7/8 inches in length which remains in wonderful, original condition and is well marked on the ricasso "GOTTLIEB HAMMESFAHR SOLINGEN. FOCHE". The lovely light brown wooden grips are also very healthy in condition and the guard is well marked "P.U.W.15.". The metal scabbard is unmarked and remains in very nice condition as well. Overall, the Bayonet measures 15 1/8 inches in length. (please note other items shown as props are not included in this sale)
