VERY NICE SMALL FRENCH CADET SHORT SWORD BRIQUET 19TH CENTURY:

This is a very nice and interesting little French Cadet Short Sword Briquet that dates from the early to mid 19th Century. This small Briquet consists of a guard and scabbard which does not open as it has no blade. The brass guard is simple in design as are the brass scabbard fittings and all have now patined with age. The solid wooden scabbard is leather covered and although the leather finish is a little scuffed, does remain supple and nice. Overall measuring 22 7/16 inches in length.
