Very Old Antique Iridescent Amber Bottle 1800's Very Heavy For Sale
Today we have a very old antiqueiridescentamber bottle. No writing on it so I do not know what it might have held. This bottle is veryiridescent. Quite an oily sheen to it. It measures 8.75 inches high, 3.75 inches across the front, and is 2.25 inches across the side. This bottle is heavy. It weighs over a pound. Interesting facts about this bottle - The seam is off set; it runs at adiagonaland then it is not on the bottom. The bottom goes in a bit, with a indented circle. The lip is on the very top and has a little notch on it. That might be a very old break, it is not sharp. This does have a faint hairline crack on the front that does not go all the way through the glass. It might really be more like a scratch. It also has white on it. I did rinse it in plain water and lightly went over it with a plastic kitchen scrubber and some of the white did come off. I did not want to scratch it so I stopped. I took the limit of pictures so please look at them closely as pictures do speak a thousand words. This is a pretty neat old bottle and worthy of any collection.
