Misc. Details: This is a very unique and interesting looking piece from Hamilton that was produced in fairly limited numbers and then discontinued after a short production run due to it\'s cost exceeding a small profit margin. The dial is a black matte and looks super with bright luminous hour markers and matching bright Mercedes style hands and a red seconds hand. It is signed as \"L.L. Bean\" which was a large dept. chain located in Boston noted for selling a wide variety of some highly unusual timepieces for well known makers - Hamilton in this case - as it is signed on the dial and case. The back is steel and a screw down type as well and the same design is used on the compass which is marked in direction AND degrees.The inner marking on the compass is also marked in mm\'s in red and is signed as \"Texswiss\" and the entire mechanism can be rotated - so this is not a \"toy\" or cheap gimmick....but a professional compass. The dial is surrounded by a steel rotating silver elapsed bezel and thestrap is new and very expensive and really highlights the watch. Under close examination a small mark is visible on the upper glass but does not detract from this beauty at all. Ready to wear and very difficult to find as it continues to rise in value day after day.
