This 1969 Kasco Indy 500 commercial coin-op arcade driving game is BRAND NEW, and came from a warehouse in Canada. It was one of the few electro-mechanical arcade games that were made in Japan during the 1960's. If it looks familiar, that's because Chicago Coin licensed the rights to make a similar game ("Speedway") in the U.S., so the Kasco version could not be sold in this country, thus making this game so rare here.

The game still has the plastic shipping cover over the steering wheel, as it came from the factory! With the exception of two small scratches in the white part of the front door of the cabinet that occurred during a move, the cabinet is absolutely FLAWLESS! You would never believe that a game that is almost 45 years old could look so good. The amplifier is putting out sound as it should - I had to laugh when I saw how the car "crash" noise was done - there is a hanging piece of metal that gets struck and the sound is picked up by a modified phonograph cartridge! (American made copies used a solid-state sound source)

This game plays and scores as it should, but it is nevertheless being sold "as-is" since I cannot guarantee a machine this old. As an example, the rubber belts (which still work) are starting to stretch and they should be replaced. Similarly, all of the greased parts should be checked and re-lubricated to avoid sticking. The game comes with the service manual and schematics.
