Victorian 18k Gold Mine Cut Diamond Inlaid Garnet Cabochon Dangle Brooch/pendant For Sale
Lovely antique 19th century Victorian solid 18K rich, deep yellow gold pendant/brooch finely bezel set with a beautiful garnet cabochon which is wonderfully inlaid with an Old Mine Cut Diamond. Pendant measures with its gold bail 1 5/8" long X 5/8" wide and weighs 3.1 grams. The wonderful Old Mine Cut diamond is surrounded by a gold Star, possibly 18K as well. The 5 pointy gold dangles are graduated in size and connected to the center portion of the pendant by an intricately engraved swivel mount. This piece of jewelry is very animated when you move. Back of pendant/brooch has its hand made C-Clasp closure. One tiny gold bead is missing from he front of the center portion. Probably very early Victorian or even Georgian in age.
