Victorian Antique Beadwork Shield Panel Firescreen Brass Fittings All Original:
PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR PHOTOS
This is a quite a rarity these days. It's a superb shield shaped Victorian beadwork panel whichis attached by hooks to a brass framework fire or face screen. The glass beadwork is in fantastic condition, the twiggy bits of the rose design are cut steel for contrast.Wonderful design! No loss to the beadwork. It has red fringes on 3 sides and has 4 original silk tassels with original braiding - this is somewhat faded. The beadwork is attached to the brass crossbar by 6 hooks, but only 4 hooks are present, the original suspension loops are there, new brass curtain hooks wouldmake it hang perfectly.
It stands on a marvellous Victorian brass frame (which hasn't been polished) on 3 sturdy feet. The whole thing is original and like all good Victorian things scres together and is fuly adjustable! It is very heavy (about 4kg). It is a real showstopper.
Lovely thing! Note that photos were taken in daylight,it is much brighter in reality and captures the light beautifully!
The stand is 57 inches tall, the beadwork panel face screen is inches wide (with the fringes). Always happy to combine lots to save on your postage. This will go by courier or Parcelforce, sorry unable to send the Russian Federation.
