Vintage Victorian stunning biscuit barrel in the shape of a top hat, very ornate with fruit and leaf raised decoration, four lion paw feet, chased detailing to the lid, good strong hinge, bead decoration to the base, I have never seen a biscuit barrel in this shape and it is quite rare, stamped on the base L&J in a shield on the base, Sheffield and the number 2553, it is in very good condition with no plate wear or dings, very clean inside and beautiful decoration, measures 15cm high x 23cm wide x 20cm deep, a really stunning item in very good condition.
