AGOOD, ANTIQUE,VICTORIAN SCOTTISH PROVINCIAL HORN SNUFF BOX, SILVER PLAQUE, FARQUHAR, ABERDEEN

Agood, antique VictorianScottish Provincial Horn & Shell Snuff Box.

The lid of the box wit a silverplaque that is engraved with the former owners name : \"W Farquhar, Aberdeen, 27.4.96\" (27 April 1896). The plaquemost probably silver, but unmarked, therefore selling as white metal.

The box is in very good condition but does have some minor blemishes, there is a chip to one of the bottom corners and some slight hairline cracks to the lid just under the plaque. These minor imperfections aside, this is a really nice box. The hinge is good and the lid a very tight fit.

It is complete with a snuff spoon.

The box measures 87mm x 50mm x 22mm.
