Victorian Travelling Inkwell Writing Etui Box Case Pencil Dip Pen Desktop Penner:
This is for a lovely old Victorian writing etui complete with travelling inkwell. The outer casing is nickel with a spiral design and it is marked D.R.G.M. No 11747. The hook over the top releases the lid to the inkwell andis unusual because the inkwell actually pulls off the main body and it divides into three pieces. The glass bottle that is slightly sprung so when its lid is replaced and the hook pulled over the bottle it becomes sealed by the stopper inside. All this pulls off and the rest of the tube opens up to store the the little dip pen, pencil and quill trimmer. The pencil and dip pen pull out and when reversed fit back into their holders to make a full sized tool. The tools have matching spiral handles and it is all in absolute excellent condition with no damage to it anywhere. It measures 125mm (5") long and is 14mm (0.5") in diameter.
