Vintage Singer Featherweight 221 Sewing Machine Custom Pink With Black Decals For Sale
For sale is a custom painted vintage Singer Featherweight 221 Sewing Machine, serial #AL558850, manufactured in 1953, according to the Singer website. This sewing machine has been sanded, several coats of primer applied, several coats of berry pink paint applied, black decals applied, then approximately 4 coats of automotive clearcoat applied. The foot controller has new wiring, a new light bulb, new belt and new needle installed. I have used this machine and it sews very well. The new black carry bag is made exclusively for the Singer Featherweight 221 sewing machine and has an open side pocket for manuals/books, etc, and a zippered side compartment that will hold the foot controller and power cords and attachments. It has 2 sturdy handles, an additional shoulder strap that can be attached, strong zippers and heavy duty fabric. It is very well padded to protect the sewing machine. Comes with a black canvas bag, foot controller and new power cords, BOBBIN CASE, new bobbin, all-purpose presser foot, new needle, a sewing machine cover and draw-string bag to store the foot controller and power cords, some featherweight attachments, of which I have never used and don't know how they work, and a copy of the instruction manual. From a non-smoking household. My husband and I are avid vintage and antique sewing machine collectors. We love restoring these old machines and bringing them back to life. We repaint the ones that are seriously cosmetically challenged. We refurbish them, replace parts that need replacing, do the necessary adjustments, i.e., upper and lower tension, timing, etc. I, also, love to sew and I use each and every one of my machines.
