1981 MONGOOSE SUPERGOOSE BMX BIKEUp for offer is a restored 1981 Mongoose Supergoose BMX bike. The frame and fork are free of dents, cracks or repairs. The original chrome is in decent shape with the usual speckling and scratches of a bike this age. There is surface oxidation inside the frame in the box behind the bottom bracket. The chrome is flaking in a very small spot at the tip of the fork drop outs. I added a new down tube decal, head tube decal, fork decals and chainstay decals. The top two seat tube decals are original as well as the top tube decal. The Skyway Tuff II coaster brake wheels have a free coaster conversion kit installed to perform like a standard free wheel set up. The mags were soda blasted and then hand sanded to bring the color back. They show some scuffing from the sanding which is not veryvisible when wiped down with WD-40 like many people do. The Cycle Pro Shot Gun II seat has scratches and a small crack on the right side near the front. The bike has the original Gold stem, Mongoose stamped stainless bars (scratches), Mongoose stamped bottom bracket, headset, crank (scratches) and spider (spider has speckled finish).
