VINTAGE ABSTRACT MODERNIST OIL PAINTING Mediterranean Landscape Mid Century
Beautiful light filled abstracted landscape scene with brilliantly luminous fractured perspective points. Reflective quality of light, image and color are transverse by classic cubist technique.
Cerulean and ultramarine blue give an airy open feel to this exceptional work. Reminiscent of Lyonel Feininger and John Marin. Work dates to at least the 1950\'s or possibly earlier.
- Oil painting on board. - Signed at lower right corner.- Original hand carved wormy Chestnut modernist frame. Unopened backing.-Painting in excellent condition. Linen liner has toning from humidification. Please see photos as description.- Measures: 34\" x 28.25\" in frame. Painting is 26.75\" x 19\".
