A vintage advertising tray for Cunningham\'s Ice Cream, The Factory Behind The Product, measuring approximately 18-1/2 inches long and just under 15-1/4 inches wide. It\'s a good size tray, not small. An old tray with some scuffs, scratches and a few dents. The back doesn\'t show much wear or scratches so the tray was likely displayed more than used. The paint on the front has a totally stable, very fine crazing to the surface that I believe helps to identify it\'s age. Possibly circa 1920s or 1930s is my best guess, please judge the age accordingly. It\'s marked American Can Co., 71-A, Maywood, ILL., U.S.A. ... Maywood is a Chicago suburb not too far from here.

The colors of the tray are possibly slightly more muted than the photos may show but please allow for variation of color on different monitors. The green is more olive tone than forest green.

There are some dark scuffs and white scrapes, a few small dents that are not very deep, some paint scrapes or flakes on rim, scratches. Some bumps under the original paint. Possibly a few small dribbles of white house paint stuck on the surface in the blue sky at center top. Please see the photos for examples. In some cases the light needs to hit the surface in just the right way to see these things. The colors are nice and the tray displays well in spite of the age related wear and in my opinion it\'s in very presentable condition for an old tin tray.

Illinois residents pay 10.25% sales tax which is addedto the purchase price at the end of the sale.
