You are offerding on a pair of vintage ALtec Lansing 806-8a drivers. Impedance 8 ohms serial number 3241 and 9960. Looks totally clean to me. There are a few spots on the copper mesh that I have tried to show but it doesn\'t at all effect the sound quality. Perhaps it can be wiped off? I haven\'t done anything to these drivers. This is what they looked like straight out of the speaker box.Tested with the Pioneer 9500 II Amplifier ( that we are selling right now)and the sound quality is excellent. We aren\'t professionals in the audio field but we have been holding on to this speaker set for 3 years to keep them for ourselves because we couldn\'t believe how good they sounded. We are currently in the process of moving overseas and have decided that even with a shipping container they just take up too much room. For this reason alone we decided to part it out the components and sell them.
We have seen a lot of amazing audio gear from this estate but in our opinion, these take the cake! I\'ve tried to take as many images as possible to show that they have likely never been touched since the original assembly. Crisp and clean. All the parts and hardware look almost unused. If you think this is interesting take a look at the horns, drivers and the crossovers too. All super nice in great working shape.
This piece of equipment comes from the estate of a well known sound engineer from Hollywood. I have been listing items from this estate on and off for the last 3 years.
