This listing is for 1 / ONE, Black Amethyst Vase. True Vintage Glass Made in America! Measures about 6.25\" x 7\". Due to the lack of technology, true black glass was only a dream for those early manufacturers. To meet the demand for the most elegant color, they made extremely concentrated forms of red and purple, thus achieving the dark shades that were most desired. True Black Amethyst Glass appears Black but when illuminated by a very bright light it shows it\'s true color is dark purple, raspberry or \"Amethyst\", (my camera picks up the blue). Add Elegance to your next Dinner Party with this versatile vintage piece! I find the octagon shape of this piece reminiscent of a bat wing with a graceful curve. Very lovely.

Black glass is very hard to photograph so I tried several different angles to show it\'s beauty. Can you see how shiny it is? Please note, this is a vintage item with history and may show some normal signs of use. There are some water marks on the inside surface. No chips, cracks or repairs!
