CENTURY SCANDINAVIAN DESIGN

Presenting an exquisite vintage cheese board or platter, designed
by the renowned Raija Uossikkinen in the 1960s, and produced by
the quality Scandinavian ceramic makers, Arabia Finland.

This stunning piece is a part of the popular Pomona range
which was produced between 1965-1975. This fine example is in the
Strawberry or Mansikka pattern and features a wonderfully bold and
vibrant pattern of ripe strawberries executed in a wonderfully
whimsical and charming Scandinavian style.

The delightful pattern appears on a crisp white ceramic body,
which magnificently accentuates the bright and bold design.

Originally designed to function as a cheese board, this fabulous piece is
ideal for use as a platter to present cheese and fruit to your guests or would
make an equally appealing display feature in any well designed home.

This exquisite piece is presented in very good vintage condition
with no chips, cracks or repairs. The crisp white body is clean and
stain free and the charming strawberry print is wonderfully bold and vibrant
with only a few exceptionally minor spots of wear noticeable only on really
close examination but mentioned for accuracy. There are two small brown
spots within the actual glaze which has occurred in the manufacturing
but again mentioned for complete accuracy. This exceptional piece
appears to have had very little use and presents spectacularly.

This impressive piece measures approx 165mms in width and 280mms in length.

This fantastic Scandinavian platter is beautifully stamped
to the base in green "Arabia made in Finland 3-65".

This exquisite piece would make a stand out addition
to any Arabia Finland or Pomona pottery collection.
