DESCRIPTION If you are a lover of interesting and unusual vintage and antique jewelry, you've come to the right place. I try to keep a nice mix of fine and costume pieces that range in age from 19th century Victorian to late 20th century vintage designer couture. My offering to start off the month of March is by far the best this year. There are several exceptional Victorian and Art Deco pieces mixed with some outstanding designer costume. This will be an excellent opportunity to add some extraordinary pieces to your collection. Fresh from a fine Texas estate comes a beautiful pair of vintage art deco era solid gold and aquamarine earrings. The color of these aquamarines is much more pale than the pictures show(the flash caused them to appear more of a dark blue/green). I do not believe that these stones have been treated in any way to enhance the color. Each earring measures aprpox 7/8" long with the stones measuring approx 7mm in diameter. The post tops are newer replacements and are 14k gold. The main body of the earrings tested as 12k gold. The pair weighs approx 1.6 grams and is in very fine condition with a small ding in one of the gold balls at top.
