Vintage Bourne Denby King Edward Viii Coronation Green Relief Stoneware Mug 1937 For Sale
You are invited to offer on this stoneware mug made to commemorate the planned Coronation of King Edward VIII in 1937.This lovely mug bears no markers marks but I am certain it was made in Derbyshire by Denby pottery. It has been glazed green and decorated on the front with an embossed decoration to the front with a laurel roundel of the King and the occasion 'Coronation King Edward VIII, May 12th 1937'. Inside the mug is glazed a contrasting cream colour and it measures approx. 3" tall by 4.25" wide.This mug is in good clean condition with no damage just a small flaw on the inside (see final photo) and the usual age related crazing.A lovely Denby King Edward VIII commemorative mug to add to your collection.Please feel free to ask me any further questions and take a look at my other Denby commemorative ware for sale.
