Up for sale is a lightly used vintage pair of braided western show reins with sterling silver overlay buckles. They are made from good quallity dark oil leather. The reins measure about 7'10" long. One rein is a little shorter. Almost the whole length of the reins is braided. The ends have 10" long poppers. The bit connects to the reins with good sized marked Sterling Overlaid buckles. There are matching keepers and sterling overlaid marked tips. The buckles fit 3/4" wide leather.

The reins are in very good used condition. The leather is soft and supple. The silver is in good shape. HOWEVER, the previous owner oiled them and they have more oil in them than I think that they should. The finish on the leather is kind of slick so most of the shine that you see in my photos is not oil, but you can feel it on the reins and if you put them out in the sun, some oil will come to the surface. I think that using them and getting them outside will fix this over time. Otherwise the reins are very nice.
