If you are a lover of interesting and unusual vintage and antique jewelry, you've come to the right place. I try to keep a nice mix of fine and costume pieces that range in age from 19th century Victorian to late 20th century vintage designer couture. I'm currently on a rather extensive buying trip and am pleased to say that I've found many exceptional pieces. Please be sure to browse through all of the listings and check back often as new pieces will be listed weekly. Up for sale is a wonderful vintage Chinese carved jade and gilt silver brooch. The brooch is very nicely carved and depicts a descending bat(a symbol of prosperity) flanked by a peach(a symbol of longevity) on either side. The brooch measures approx 1 1/8" x 2 3/8". It is not marked, but did test as silver and weighs approx 13.1 grams. The condition is excellent with no damage and light wear consistent with age.
