Vintage Early Victorian C 1860 Day Dress Period Drawn Bonnet Hat Irish Heritage:
This sale is for aVictorian C1860 ish Dress & Drawn Bonnet.
The item willhave flaws- and I think all will be wearable with cleaning and mending.
I think the outer material is taffeta silk as is delicate material. The underneath is of a stronger cloth.
There are small reapairs needed to the seem of the dress as shown from underneath.
The back of the dress is all hook & eye fastening, they are all still there but may need some of them strenghtening.
The lace collar and sleeves are a little dirty due to age and only need a little repair if any.
The bonnet is a fan opening style with bones or wires, and has ribbon fastening.
The bonnet opens and closed in perfect working order.
I found inside the pocket a card attached to a piece of string showing a card
dated 1931, Dublin, Ireland, also very collectable
(was this a dance the lady went to and did not want to lose?)
all details are inside the card as pictured what is was about.
I HAVE OTHER LISTING FOR, HOOPED UNDERSKIRT, CLOAK AND SCARFS ETC
ON ANOTHER TO GO WITH THIS DRESS.
