Thank you for looking at this sale for a vintage hand embroidered framed picture of a traditional country scene - a blossom tree and country cottage with a duck pond.
The tree is particularly well executed and detailed with French knots making all the blossom. I like the shades used on the cottage being used to convey different light. All in bright colours and good condition - I have included the frame, though this could be easily removed: the frame is quite \'rickety\' but I have kept it because of the poignant message on the reverse. With the date of 1949 this frame was clearly suffering from being made in post austerity conditions and I think that the message on the back is quite a heartfelt reminder of those times.
This measures: 6 and half by just over 7 inches.I have added different postage options and always refund any postage
