Hello and thank you for viewing our sale. You are offerding on a FANTASTIC, all natural, untreated/unheated Alexandrite (certified) and diamond ring cast in solid 14k white gold. The alexandrite is a modified oval cut measuring 9.82 x 6.32 x 3.47 in diameter and weighs a WHOPPING 1.85 CARATS! This is the largest alexandrite we have had in well over a decade! The clarity of this stone is SI1 (TYPE II per GIA). We consider it to be completely EYE CLEAN and crystal clear to the unaided eye. If you have ultra fine vision, you may notice a few 'eyelash' imperfections upon extremely close examination but on the hand and for all intents and purposes, this is a CLEAN and CLEAR alexandrite. Unheard of for this size! Under x10 or higher magnification rutile and needle lines are present. This stone is a very sensitive color changer and AIGS graded it as 'strong' color change (which is something we hardly ever see! Most are rated as 'moderate' color change. Please scroll down to the end of the sale page to see the mini-cert from AIGS dated 2008.) Under fluorescent light (such as standard kitchen light) and outside in indirect lighting (especially at dusk), the color is a very vibrant green to greenish blue. In indoor lighting, mixed light and incandescent light, the color will be a bluish purple to purple red. The richer the red rays from the light source, the more dramatic the color shift. Candle light offers the best in terms of observing the deep purplish red color. Please see the images below. While a daunting task, the photos show what we were able to capture in terms of color change using ONLY natural light sources only. The color is actually richer in person. If you love alexandrite, you do not want to miss this one! This is our last alexandrite and we do not know when we will be getting another. The alex is complimented by two (2) full cut tapered baguettes weighing .06 points each for a total combined weight of .12 carats. They are VS2 to SI1 in clarity and H in color (crystal clear and face colorless). The metal content is 14k white gold (not hallmarked but tested and guaranteed) and the gram weight is a very comfortable 3 grams. The ring is currently a size 4.5 and can easily be resized. Please note we do not photoshop our images to enhance or alter color! All images below were taken using NATURAL indirect lighting and incandescent light ONLY. No fluorescent lighting used. Retail replacement value is at least $9,800.

Items ship USPS priority mail, fully insured with signature upon receipt for a flat rate of $7 unless otherwise noted. The actual cost is more than $7 to ship each item, so you do not pay full price. FOR PRE APPROVED INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING, THE CHARGE WILL BE A FLAT RATE OF $38. With the latest postal increase we can no longer afford to offer free shipping on our items. We do not pad the cost of shipping to increase profitability.

Our items are estate items which means they are previously owned and have typical wear and tear of such. Items are sold as-is unless there has been a material deviation in the description of the item. We can not accept returns on any item that has been resized or modified from its original state. Returns are not readily accepted due to the high risk of stone swapping and internet fraud. We want happy, repeat buyers. Should there be a problem with your item, you must contact us within 72 hours of receipt. If a return is necessary, you must ship the item back within 7 business days and provide tracking information. Item must be received back no later than 14 days from date item was first received. We are very reasonable, extremely fair sellers but we are not HIGH volume sellers. Our profit margin is MINIMAL and consigned items have to be paid out in a timely fashion. PLEASE be mindful of this. We have been selling on since 1998 and adhere to the very highest of standards. Because our items are consigned and/or previously owned, occasionally we may overlook something. Please give us the opportunity to work things out prior to leaving less than perfect response.
