This art work is under glass and sealed on the back so the condition is great. The frame is in good vintagecondition with only minor patina to corner. About this madonna, so stylish, soembellished , such fine work. She is done with both gold and silver thread, red hearts! gold stars, she has silver , gold , pearl, blue and red beads. The hair and halo of the baby jesus are amazing. Such attention to detail, for example where a star comes to close to the madonna\'s halo it is cut in half so as not to overlap the halo. The baby jesus his halo is full of curls and heavy crewel work, just precious modern beauty. So we have a timeless classic! She could be framed so as to complement a modern or classic decor or even folk type decor , she is so good OK... i am sorry for the reflection, but photoing glass is difficult and sorry to wax so poetic about this lady... but she deserves it :). The oval of work is 14 1/2 long by 12 1/4 wide. The frame measures 18 1/4 by 21 1/4 on the outside. 1 1/2 inches deep.
