(This is a summary of our terms which you can view on 'My Page' by clicking on the 'v-for-vintage' link)
The photographs form an integral and important part of the item description and may not be to scale. Colour representation may vary depending on the monitor or screen it is viewed on. Close up shots are likely to show marks that will not be visible to the naked eye. Please examine the picture(s) and description carefully. Items are described honestly and to the best of our knowledge. The description represents our ‘non-expert’ opinion only. Any hallmarks etc. will be described as seen but please note that gold and silver items will not have been tested unless otherwise stated in the description. If you have any questions or requests, please contact us in good time via messages before offerding or buying. We want you to be happy with your purchase and we are always happy to help if we can. Any boxes and display items are not included in the lot unless otherwise stated in the item description. All dimensions and weights are approximate and should be used as a guide only. Our items are usually sold ‘as seen/ found’ and may need further cleaning - this is left to the discretion of the buyer. Please be aware that most vintage items are likely to show signs of their age such as tarnish, surface wear, marks and nibbles to stones etc.
P&P / SHIPPING & INSURANCE: We post Monday to Friday inclusive and your purchase(s) will be shipped as soon as possible within 3 working days of payment clearing. Special Delivery items can usually be posted on a Saturday morning by prior arrangement - please contact us via messages to arrange this. Please note that gold, silver & platinum jewellery and parcels over a total value of £46.00 are not insured against loss or damage in transit unless sent by the 'Special Delivery' or ‘International Signed For’ services. Wherever possible, extra items are posted free subject to the combined weight and value of the parcel. Please note that the prices quoted for the ‘International Signed For’ service only includes insurance for parcels with a total value up to £50 and the ‘Special Delivery Service’ for UK customers includes insurance up to a value of £500.You can check out the cost of posting via Royal Mail by using their handy ‘Price Checker’ at http://www.royalmail.com/price-finder . We are always happy to answer any questions or requests regarding postage and we do not profit from postage charges. If we have miscalculated we always refund any significant excess.
All items are closely checked before posting. We pack them very carefully, protecting pins, clasps etcetera and ensuring that delicate items do not 'rub' in transit. We use new tissue paper, bubble wrap and padded envelopes but may also use vintage or recycled boxes to pack your item. Unfortunately the cost of postage is affected by the dimensions of a letter/parcel but we will always ensure that your purchase is protected rather than compromise on safe packing to reduce postage costs.
RETURNS/ REFUNDS: All sales are final. Returns are not accepted on ‘sale-style’ listings. Most ‘Buy it now’ purchases are covered under the Distance Selling Regulations, which give consumer buyers the right to cancel the purchase within 7 working days after the day they receive the item. The UK Distance Selling Regulations do not apply to sale-style listings on .co.uk. Please note that the cost of any return postage, by a signed for and insured service, is the responsibility of the buyer and will not be refunded. ~ Thank you for visiting V for Vintage ~On 08-Mar-13 at 07:56:26 GMT, seller added the following information:
Hello everyone! One of our helpful fellow ers wondered if it was possible that Østrem could have imported this thimble from Germany before adding his own mark. This kind of consideration is beyond our current level of expertise regarding thimbles, but we thought that it might be helpful information. The thimble is certainly beautifully made and of excellentquality.
