VINTAGE, J.B. MOSCROPS PATENT FLY FISHING REEL, MANCHESTER, CIRCA LATE 1800s, RARE!

*MOSCROP\'S FELLOW MANCHESTER ANGLING SOCIETY MEMBERS, dubbed it the \"MANCHESTER REEL.\"

*A one piece frame construction and the whole reel is made of Brass and measures 3\" in diameter.

*Marked on the back \"J.B. MOSCROP\'S PATENT, MANCHESTER.

*Marked on the bottom of the reel foot, \"J.B. MOSCROP - MANCHESTER.\"

*Drag adjustment knob on the front plate that turns an exposed screw and exerts pressure on the center spindle.

*8 pillars on the inside of the spool form a cage around the drag mechanism to protect it from the line

This is a very nice, scarce, collectable reel, and a significant piece of fly fishing history.
