A rare vintage Art Deco Period 1930s miniature solid Sterling silver standard butter spade stamped PORT SUNLIGHT JUBILEE 1888-1938. Port Sunlight is a village on The Wirral, Merseyside England which was built in 1888 by the Lever Brothers to accomodate workers in its soap factory ( now part of Unilever). The stem has reed and tie decoration with further ornate decoration to the handle and to the top corners of the blade. It has a total length of 4.2 in ( 107 mm) and a maximum width of 1.1 in ( 28 mm). The blade is impressed SILVER with Maker R & D. ( Roberts & Dore Birmingham). A beautiful quality and detailed commemmorative miniature which would make a great addition to anyones collection, display etc.....
