VINTAGE NEMADJI POTTERY_2 PIECES Being
offered are two pieces of Vintage Nemadji Pottery which was
produced at the gateway of Minnesota's Arrowhead Region. It was first
made using the rich clays taken from the banks of the Nemadji River. Most Nemadji pottery is glazed on the inside. One of these is glazed and the other is not. Made
of natural earthen clay and hand painted with various colors that
swirl, drip or blend together to make beautiful decorative pieces. This technique was used by Scandinavian immigrants in Minnesota, specifically Eric Hellman in, who developed it in 1929. Pots measure 3 1/2" x 3". There are a few scuffs on them, but no chips or cracks. One piece has Great Smokey Mts. 1971 hand written on it.
