Set of six vintage printing blocks. The text on the back of one them, reads: Les Peres Trinitaire, Montreal and the date appears to be, 1935. In English, the name means The Trinitarian Fathers. I contacted one priest, from that order. He gave me his opinion as to what each block represents. He believes the nun on the left is: Anna Maria Taigr, above middle, St. Joannes de Matha, celebrating his first Mass. Right side, nun, unknown, right bottom, two young men, taken in Madagascar, where this order had a mission, center: St. Joannes de Matha, with Latin text below in the middleand to the left, an ordination taking place. Blocks are in good condition, with a crack down one side of one block. Blocks are wood, pictures are metal. SHOWN IN THE PICTURES, THE NEGATIVE, which is used for printing and an inverted photo, of what the prints would have looked like, way back, when used. Smoke-free home. Largest block measures 4 1/4\" by 2 1/2\" Smallest block, 3\" by 2 1/4\". Will be sent to the winning buyer, by registered mail and will be insured.
